Answering Calls
Depending on your settings, your PCS Phone notifies you of
incoming calls in the following ways:

The phone rings and/or vibrates.
䊳
The backlight illuminates.
䊳
The screen displays an incoming call message.
䊳
If available, the phone number of the caller is displayed.
䊳
If the phone number is in your Contacts list, the contact’s
name is displayed.
To answer incoming calls:
1. Make sure you turn on your phone. (If your phone is off,
incoming calls go to voicemail.)

2. When a call comes in, answer the call by pressing
.
(Depending on your settings, you may also answer incoming
calls simply by pressing any number key.)
The following options are also available:
1. Press Answer to answer the call.
– or –
2. Press Silence or
to mute the ringer. (If you do not
answer the call, it is forwarded to your voicemail.)
Answering a Roam Call With Call Guard Enabled
To answer a call when roaming and Call Guard is enabled, you
must press OK. (See page 43 for additional information.)
Note:
If your phone is off, incoming calls go to voicemail.
